The Music Industry in the Digital Age: The Challenges and Opportunities Discussed in Goma

Amon Access, the Agency of Communication, Distribution and Digital Marketing, in collaboration with Institut Français of Goma, organized on January 30 an international conference on the music industry. The main theme of the conference was "Harmony of the Future: Revolution of the Music Industry in a Connected World". 

Four topics were discussed, namely:

• The impact of artificial intelligence on the music industry.

• The challenges of the evolution of the Congolese music industry.

• The impact of the African music industry on a global scale.

• Music business.

Several partners supported this event, such as Trace TV, OneRPM, African Music Library, Plug Music, Boomplay, Audiomack, Luna Event, Taji Initiatives, etc.

Speakers online, such as the CEO of Trace Group, Mr. Olivier Laouchez, Paul Azumah, Comms & PR Manager for Africa at Boomplay, Anu Onasanya, Program Manager at African Music Library Nigeria, and Clémentin Diard, from the Agency Y2M France, specialist in automated advertising solutions for the music industry, shared their knowledge and experiences on the topics addressed.

The most renowned music label in the east of the DRC, Visionnaire Team, led by Mr. Bonfils Kateko, was also present as a guest.

The Visionnaire Team label from Tanganyika, in the city of Kalemie, was represented at the conference by the manager Socrate and the musician artist Shakis Boy, considered by music lovers as one of the best of new generation.

Among the media present, were Radio Okapi, represented by Mr. Alexis Kambale, Hope Channel TV, represented by FK Francis, and the photography and videography agency HT.

The conference lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes.
